The quality of the splashback’s aesthetics is guaranteed due to the durability and damage resistance inherently found within acrylic; which will not rust as steel splashbacks would, or even tarnish as glass alternatives are prone to doing.
Even when acrylic splashbacks do get dirty or dusty, the ease with which they can be cleaned is outstanding. Requiring nothing more than a wet cloth or sponge, you can be assured that the splashbacks can easily achieve and be kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
The simplicity with which these kitchen splashbacks can be maintained is matched only by how easy it is to actually install them in the first place. They are incredibly light so they do not need two people to be lifted, and the actual installation process is so straightforward that it can be done without the slightest bit of DIY experience.
Acrylic has a melting point of 160°C so it should not be placed to close to a hob or other heating elements that are even capable of approaching this temperature. You will be safe to do so however if you cover the acrylic protecting the area with a sheet of glass, as it will act as an effective barrier; or simply ensure that it is a suitable distance (200mm) away from the open heat source.
Please be aware that this strikingly vibrant red material needs to be fixed to a blemish-free wall, ideally with a white or light background. Dark blemishes or tape can sometimes show witness marks though the front face of the material.
