Benefits of Wall Panelling
- Inexpensive
- Easy to install
- Multiple design styles
- Hides wall imperfections
Our wall panelling strips are made from standard MDF which is a common material for interior applications. Standard MDF is a lightweight material that each easily machined and does not warp, crack or splinter. It also has a smooth surface which is ideal for painting. Please note, that standard MDF is not a moisture-resistant material so in its standard form, it would not work well in areas prone to moisture. Standard MDF also needs to be properly primed or else it will absorb the paint – please view or MDF Wall Panelling page for more information.
Wall Panelling FAQ’s:
What thickness of MDF should I use for wall panelling?
The thickness of MDF really depends on your personal preference. However, using anything less them 6mm thick may not create the texture you require and anything above 18mm might be too thick. At Cut Plastic Sheeting, we offer MDF sheets in a range of thickness between 3mm to 30mm all cut to your size.
How much does wall panelling cost?
The cost of wall panelling depends on factors such as material, adhesive, primer and paint. Often, the majority of things you require you might have already in your home from previous projects. So, if all you need is MDF, the cost then depends on the thickness and the number of panels you require. At, Cut Plastic Sheeting we have various thicknesses available which start off at 3mm thick for as little as £14.43 per m² ex vat.
