Different Types of Plywood:

At Cut Plastic Sheeting, we offer two different types of Plywood including Birch Plywood and White Faced Plywood. Birch Plywood and White Faced Plywood both have excellent strength and durability as they are made up of multiple veneers. However, White Faced Plywood is actually made of Birthc Plywood but it has an improved surface and core veneer. But both of their finishes make them a popular choice for decorative applications such as furniture and interior finishes.

How much is Plywood?

Plywood sheets can range in price depending on the size and thickness you require. The least expensive sheet of Plywood we offer at Cut Plastic Sheeting is 6mm Birch Plywood which is £60.01 ex vet per m².

Can you glue Plywood panels?

Plywood is easy to handle, cut and glue and because of this, it is one of the most common building materials.

What size of Plywood is available?

Plywood sheets are available in a maximum sheet size of 2440 mm x 1220 mm / 8 ft x 4 ft and is available cut to custom size and shape. Plywood is also available in a range of thicknesses depending on the type. The available thicknesses of Birch Plywood can range between 6mm – 24mm and White Faced Plywood is available in either 12mm or 18mm thick.

Can you paint or stain Plywood?

You can paint on plywood but you should apply a primer first. You can also stain Plywood using any type of wood stain too.

Is Birch Plywood softwood or hardwood?

Birch is considered a hardwood plywood which means it tends to be heavier, stronger and more durable.

Is Plywood moisture resistant?

It depends on the type of plywood being used – if you would like a moisture resistant Plywood, please contact our sales team for advice.
