Work in progress

Here you can see the work in progress – resin has been poured in the third of 4 stages. The final layer will be the final finish. After that the table should pop nicely away from the Polypropylene and I can prepare the workshop for the next table.

Lego Display

Once assembled, this then slots perfectly into an IKEA Ribba 230x230mm picture frame, allowing us to show off my entire collection of Lego Minifigures.

Polypropylene Barriers

I wanted to make something beautiful, long lasting and creative – settling on a river resin table big enough for all our family and friends to sit round and share good times. I used Polypropylene sheet from cutplasticsheeting.co.uk to line the insides of my wooden frame, as resin wont stick to Polypropylene. This means I can reuse the Polypropylene base and sides which is great because this project was a lot of run and I plan to make more river resin tables.
